Silly Sara Ellen October 23, 2007
In the last almost two years, I have heard multiple people say what a mouthfull my daughter’s name is. Honestly, I think more than have said her name is pretty. I am ok with that, ya know. I love the name I lovingly chose and prayed over even before her creation. She knows her name and will learn to spell it. Today’s hurdle was that she finally said it all together. You could successfully have her repeat “Sara” and “Ellen” but never together. A few moments ago however, she whispered her name to me. YAY!!!
Little people, and people of all sizes really, love to gain approval for his or her actions. Often however, she (”she” = Sara Ellen or any person) will not perform, do just what you ask when you ask it of her. Sara Ellen has a huge vocabulary and will try to say any new word she hears, but that doesn’t mean she will always tell you the word you want to hear.
One of the great advantages of being a mom at home is that I get to see and hear all the new things Sara Ellen does and says every day.
People sometimes ask if my daughter ever cries. Of course she does, but in general she has a sweet, fun personality that charms everyone. And it always helps that she is the cutest baby ever… rapidly becoming a little girl!
