Busy
It’s been so busy lately but guess what? We’ve got even more snow! Last week it was warming up and most of the accumulation from the last big snow fall was almost all gone except for packed ice, etc but over yesterday and last night, we got it all back!!
Yesterday morning Tim’s mom left after a six day visit. It was a challange because Jan and I don’t know eachother very well, but after a serious discussion on Tuesday, she and I went out everyday and had some good conversations and she got to know Sara Ellen. It’s more good work on our slowly growing relationship.
Now I’ve got all this work to do to get ready for our Trans-Atlantic move! I’m almost finished filling out a bunch of forms for US Customs and insurance. I have to count everything we’ve got and access a “new on arrival” value. Some is really hard to decide because we aren’t suppose to under value it. Thankfully some I can look up at Bed Bath and Beyond or Amazon for the actual cost of replacement. Jan bought us a baby bjorn in which I’m wearing Sara Ellen while I type, fill out forms and eat lunch. She was a little fussy at first but then fell asleep. With this new thing we won’t have to carry her during our two hour layover in Heathrow even though we’ll check our stroller.
If it hasn’t arrived yet, I’ll call about her passport next week. I also have to notify the post office of our forwarding address, sending in our moving form to the national registrar and we’ve begun selling off our belongings.
Busy, busy, but exciting I know, I’ve done the moving of countries and closing out apartments thing a couple of times
