December

Happy first day of December! We got about 2 inches of snow. :D

I’m not sure if the first day of Advent is today or was Sunday… I think the 27th was the first Sunday in Advent. There are four Advent candles to be lit on Sunday’s and then a fifth on Christmas Eve.

Anyway, we got our first Advent Calendar chocolate today. :D I also got some decorations up.

Mom leaves for Norway tonight around 8pm Eastern Standard Time. She touches down at Oslo Airport around 11am Central European Time.

Aah! I’m due in two weeks! I’ve heard that in the US, scheduled cesaerian births are popular. The sister of a friend was supposed to have one last month I think but baby arrived early. Actually, as my AIM profile says, “Babies are neither early or late. They arrive precisely when they mean to,” almost quoting Gandalf. ;) I can see how having a set plan could feel… good I guess. I’d sure love to know when mine is coming but I don’t. I’ve read how you count down to your due date… not hard when for 9 months you’ve been saying how many weeks you are knowing in delivery is around 40 weeks. Then if the due date passes, as I keep hearing is so common for first’s, you just keep waiting. :? I know there is a perfect plan already worked out, but yeah, I’m about ready. Ready not to have a large lump attached which does, honestly, get in the way. Ready to see our munchkin and not just rest my hand over my belly and feel him/her move. Ready to know who s/he is, a he or a she with a name. Ready for the aches and pains to go away. Currently, because the pelvic joints are loose, my right hip complains frequently.

I have this image that in the very early stages of labor, I’d actually write a very short note here. It’s probably unlikely but I will try to keep up with this after so you know how it is for us.

You put ballet clothes on your wishlist? Ashley and Bridget have that leotard. Halters are getting very popular.

Sure why not. Halters are a good look for me. :)
I mostly want the dress though.
