Happy Mother’s Day

I definitely had a HMD!! Some was planned and some was unexpected; it was all great!!

This morning I made blueberry pancakes. At church, they celebrated the day with an amazing performance of Vivaldi’s Gloria. Wow. It was just beautiful. I had so many wonderful thoughts going through my head. One of them being, Edward would love this music, but wait, it’s Carlisle’s human lifetime!!!

I made a very yummy lunch for Sara Ellen and myself. Penne, peas, and salmon, so Tim made a sandwich.

After lunch my new TwilightMOM friend, Farrah, came and got me to visit the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum and Planetarium. We got a bit lost getting there but it’s worth finding. The grounds are beautiful; the roses, the columns, the fountain. It’s only $9 and the Planetarium show is free, thank goodness. It was not the greatest show I’ve ever seen. A little corny, and a little confusing as to why to what it had to do with Egypt. You are supposed to arrive 15 minutes before the show to get a seat and let your eyes adjust. During that time, we fed our shared obsession by watching Twilight on my ipod. It was previously paused at the prom scene and then as the credits were rolling I went back to the beginning. We had time to watch up until Bella meets Eric Yorkie. There are four galleries with tons of artifacts. It’s all really interesting, it’s just a lot. The coolest inside part was the cut-rock tunnel. I thought it was just a doorway but it kept going, and going, bringing us into gallery B. I did learn a few things. It’s worth the visit. I was hoping for more beaded jewelry in the gift shop but it’s mostly silver. There is a Starbucks very close for pre- or post-tour stops.

When I got home, I was surprised to learn that Tim and Sara Ellen had been out for most of the same time and that Sara Ellen had taken a nap. Tim also surprised me with a dinner reservation at an Italian place called Fontana’s. He was still smirking a little and hiding something. I later found presents under my pillow; Lego Indiana Jones for the Wii, and Gilmore Girls Season 2! Dinner was very nice. I had angel hair pasta with herbs and tomatoes and apple streudel with vanilla gelato, yum….

Perhaps my best Mother’s Day ever!
