Halloween
Ok, so maybe it wasn’t a Monster Bash, but we had a good time tonight.
Tim is taking vacation this week and we’re doing what we can to make the most of it. This afternoon we picked up a box sent by his Dad and Co. filled with Halloween candy! Wahoo! Then we went to the store and got all kinds of things so I could make dinner. Here’s our menu:
Dark Purple “Juice”
Apple and Cheese “Sandwiches”
Sausage and Bean Soup – sausage, butter & black beans, broth, and tomatoes
Halloween Candy and Chocolate Chip Cookies (made with cocoa powder)
Our day started a bit late so I stayed home from Norskkurs to cook. Good plan too because it all took longer than I figured. Tim brought Eirik and Allan home and we watched Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (the very original version) while we ate and then played cards while watching Young Frankenstein.
A fun, relaxing and happy Halloween.
We meant to watch Young Frankenstein on Halloween, but Michael fell asleep during “only” his second movie of the night: Kingdom of Heaven, but we watched it yesterday (at least I saw most of it till I had to go to dance).
Is Philosopher’s Stone any different besides them saying that instead of Sorceror’s?
Nope. The only time I noticed a difference was when Hermione reads “Nicholas Flamel is the only known maker of Philosopher’s Stone.” All of us noticed that, well Tim and I did and mentioned it in surprise. Following this was a conversation about the differences or reasons for translation with English Allan and Norwegian Eirik (Norwegians learn British English).
