Summer Movie List

Here’s my list of must-see Summer movies for 2007:

The Invisible (April 27) – I really want to see this movie. A guy is beat up and left for dead. He has to solve it himself if he wants to live.

Spider-Man 3 (May 4th) – Saw it on May 9th: great movie. The relationship between Peter Parker/ Spider-Man and Harry Osbourne/ New Goblin is under fire, as is the relationship between Pete and Mary Jane. This weird black goo comes from space and make Pete too aggressive. It also creates a new villian, adding to the Sandman (poor guy). I really like how it ended, how it discussed choosing to do good and forgiveness without having to “get religion”.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End (May 25th) – Enjoyed the first (saw it like 8 times in theaters), was not excited about the second to see it more than once in theaters, but I’m looking forward to seeing Jack Sparrow in the third.

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (June 15th) – Enjoyed the first one. This is not necessarily a “must-see” but I probably will.

Ratatouille (June 29th) – Pixar!

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (July 13th) – Harry Potter!! Previews have been awesome! Long live the DA!!

The Bourne Ultimatum (August 3rd) – I hope this one lives up to the first two, which were very good. Maybe it will be a birthday view. Maybe it will be too crowded it’s first weekend.

Becoming Jane (also August 3!) – I’m really excited about this, to see how Anne Hathaway portrays Jane.

Wait for DVD:

Meet the Robinson’s (March 30)

Ocean’s Thirteen (June 8th) – The first was great, the second was not

Shrek the Third (May 18th)

Evan Almighty (June 22nd) – I hope it will be as good, especially because I’d like to see Lauren Graham in a great movie.

Mr. Bean’s Holiday (August 27) – Though I am not a huge fan of Mr. Bean myself, he is funny so I’ll probably see it.

Michael Clayton (September 27) – I think I’ll just see this because it’s my brother’s name!

Across the Universe (September 28) – We saw a preview before Spider-Man 3, it looked interesting.

No thanks:

Surf’s Up – Oh Puh-lease. I saw this preview before I’d even heard of Happy Feet. They may get an audience looking for more funny penguins or not get an audience because they’ve seen enough. I really enjoyed Happy Feet, but did not see March of the Penguins, maybe one penguin movie is enough.

Tim posted his own summer movie list.
