Pointe-ing

I’m in Ms. Easter’s ballet now. The girl whose place I was asked to take called in this evening and said she wasn’t coming, and I guess made the decision to step out. Thankfully, the girl’s dress is a medium which will fit me. She is pretty small so there was a little concern.

So I learned my part and it is pretty simple. I didn’t do it on pointe tonight so I could concentrate on the choreography. I’ll be working on pointe in class now. I tried out Emily’s shoes in class on Thursday and did ok. I had a hard time springing up on my left foot. Also, one big toe hurt some.

I think it’s a pretty dance and I’m looking forward to this.
