Sookie’s Babies
I love how Sookie’s pregnancies have been announced on Gilmore Girls.
Right now, season 3 is on abcfamily. In “The Big One”, Sookie is upset because lots of her dishes have been sent back and she thinks something is wrong with the customers. Lorelai takes a bite and agrees it tastes “sewery”. She asked Sookie if she’s been sick lately. She says she had a passing bug. Lorelai leaves and talks to Rory. She then has an epiphany and runs to the kitchen, meeting Sookie halfway they squeal “I’m/You’re pregnant!”
Even greater, is Jackson. Sookies tells him and grabbing a calculator, all he says is “Oh, Boy, Oh, Boy, etc”. He wanted four [babies] in four [years] but now he is concerned with Baby rolling from the sink into the open second drawer onto a cleaver and moving out for three months to build an expansion.
Emily and I have been watching Gilmore Girls Season 5 on DVD. In “Norman Mailor, I’m Pregnant,” Norman Mailor has been giving an interview drinking only iced tea at the Dragonfly and Sookie is really peeved. She’s also upset because their financial advisor told them to cut lunches because they are spending more than they are making. She confronts N.M. and tries to get him to order. In the kitchen she and Lorelai are talking and she’s trying to figure out why she is so on edge, she then runs out and hugs N.M. saying, “Norman Mailor, I’m pregnant!”
“The Big One” is just a great episode anyway. Emily called it classic because of the “classic” characteristics of all the main characters. Rory doing school stuff, Paris cutting people down (Broadway Brad) and analyzing [her relations with Jamie], Lorelai and Sookie discovering S’s pregnancy, Jackson’s craziness.
