1st Birthday
Maybe you remembered that we’ve just celebrated a birthday. Our little girl is 12 months old!! The night before and in the morning, I was remembering what was happening at that time, up to 9:49 am which is 3:49pm in Norway and is the time she was born.
It was a pretty normal day, after all she did not know it was her birthday. I made a photo journal of her first year which she enjoys looking at, at least the first few pages.
In the afternoon I did grocery shopping ($$) for the birthday party we’re having Saturday and when the food was put away, we Helms-Altmans got together for a family celebration. Mom had made a doll that looks like her with red hair and blue eyes. A soft squishy one that is pretty featureless and allows for lots of imagination. Mom made one for each of us years ago. Dad gave her a phone that makes all kinds of noises, because she likes pushing buttons on the real phone. It rings, plays music, repeats numbers and pictures from the button you push and makes animal noises.
We did take pictures and will hopefully put those up soon.
Lots of people responded to the invitation for tomorrow’s party so we’re going to have a full house if everyone makes it. If not, we’re going to have lots of leftovers.
It’s pretty amazing, having been a parent for a year already. What an adventure it has been.
