This was a wonderful video!! And I’m so glad that one of the dad’s made the comment that while you’re walking around in public, you see more breast revealed from the use of current fashions than when a mother breastfeeds her baby! AND if anyone CAN see too much breast, they’re way too close!!
But the basic question is “why is there a controversy”?? exactly!!
One of the saddest stories I’ve read and shared with my family is of breastfeeding myths in some countries…this particular story is from Pakistan. A woman had twins, boy and girl, since boys were valued more highly, she was told first, that she wouldn’t have enough milk to breastfeed twins, so second, she MUST breastfeed the boy and supplement the girl (breastmilk substitutes in other countries are often very expensive and so are watered down with contaminated water)…this mother asked that her with her picture be shared if it will help. This can be found in the book “Milk, Money and Madness, The Culture and Politics of Breastfeeding”, page 37 (1995).
