Daily Goodness

Nothing amazing is going on, except for the growing our little girl is accomplishing. She isn’t crawling yet but she’s sure getting close. She pulls herself over her feet, gets to her knees (or sometimes on her feet like she’s doing push-ups) and if the surface gives, she propells herself forward given the right motvation (i.e. UNO cards, talking puppy). She’s cruising, sort of, standing against the couch back and side-steps. She can still wear some 6-month clothing but I’ll need to shop soon for bigger things, we just bought bigger onesies yesterday.

The last few days I’ve started my day with the NYCB Workout DVD. I don’t do the whole “class” just the first 8 sections – warm-up, stretches, abdomials and floor barre. I took a couple ballet classes in the last three weeks and have decided to take two ballet classes and a modern class a week at our local studio in the fall. I’ll perform modern and hopefully ballet but it sort of depends on the level I take. If I start pointe again, I might be able to be in the advanced ballet, if I don’t I could just take the class and understudy or take a lower level and perform on soft shoe. I’ve been talking to my Illinois cousins, getting ready for our visit on our way to Wisconsin for a wedding.

We spent this afternoon with Tim’s dad and family. We’d stopped by yesterday afternoon and it occured to them after we left to invite us to dinner, so today it was pizza and the pool (pictures up soon). Then a stop by our storage unit to put in, take out and switch the stroller from baby bassinett to chair. Sara Ellen is growing too fast. Baby time is amazing and she changes so rapidly. Good part about the chair means we can just fold it down for traveling instead of removing the bassinett first (takes up lots of room). “Bad” part is that I can’t see her anymore as she’s facing forward. :( I’m looking forward to having our own place with *all* our stuff together within easy reach.

We were supposed to go to Richmond Friday evening but as we got drive-thru for dinner, the car was rumbling and then started smoking. Recently at stops the a/c hadn’t been working. After eating and some phones calls, JP brought me and Sara Ellen home while Tim waited for the tow-truck. We’ll take it in tomorrow. Tim’s mom is busy next weekend so Tim and I will have a real date and go visit the next weekend. I got a breast pump so I’ll have to practice some more and make sure Sara Ellen can get what she needs from it.

I’ll be 25 in 19 days! 8O We’re taking a day-trip to Annmarie Garden in Solomons Maryland and then will share dinner at California Pizza Kitchen.
