Dating

I realized while I was at Lynchburg how much I really want to go out, with Tim and no baby. (Nathan and Sara and Nathan’s parents regularly have dates.) We haven’t had a date in a long time. Even if someone else in the house has Sara Ellen, if she and I are close, I’m thinking about her and hardly anything else.

After our family outting, Tim met us for dinner and then he and I went grocery shopping - my family took the baby. It was like a pre-date. Just us, I felt like myself. I like my Mom-self too, but it can be so overwhelming, overshadowing everything else.

Very soon I’ll be buying a manual breast-pump so I can leave a little for the baby-watchers while we go on a real date. :P
